Call to Worship, Advent Litany Peace/Preparation
Isaiah 40:3-5
“In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
(LIGHT THE 1ST CANDLE, THEN THE 2ND CANDLE)
On this 2nd Sunday of Advent, as we think about the coming of Jesus, we light the candle of peace. Jesus Christ is our peace. He is the Prince of Peace, and the fruit of His presence is peace. Christ comes to bring justice, wholeness and harmony to every relationship throughout all creation. He will grant us peace.
Join with me as we say together,
We long for the peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide our feet into the path of peace.

Worship Song, #597 "Take My Life And Let It Be Consecrated"
VERSE 1
Take my life and let it be
Consecrated Lord to Thee
Take my moments and my days
Let them flow in ceaseless praise
VERSE 2
Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee
VERSE 3
Take my voice and let me sing
Always only for my King
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee
VERSE 4
Take my silver and my gold
Not a mite would I withhold
Take my intellect and use
Ev’ry pow’r as Thou shalt choose
VERSE 5
Take my love my Lord I pour
At Thy feet its treasure store
Take myself and I will be
Ever only all for Thee
VERSE 6
Take my will and make it Thine
It shall be no longer mine
Take my heart it is Thine own
It shall be Thy royal throne

Benediction
December Benevolence
The Retired Ministers and Missionaries Offering (RMMO) originated in the mid-1930s, when American Baptist congregations received a Communion Fellowship Offering on the first Sunday of each month to support retired ministers, missionaries, their widowed spouses and elderly clergy within their churches. In 1977, American Baptist Churches USA launched RMMO to continue this appreciation of God’s service.
This years RMMO theme is “Transformed by Generosity” with supporting Scripture from 2 Corinthian 3:18: “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit”.
Moorestown Singers Holiday Concert
