Call to Worship, Psalm 15

Worship Song, “Amazing Grace”

Verse 1

Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now am found
Was blind but now I see

Verse 2

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

Verse 3

The Lord has promised good to me
His Word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

Verse 4

Thro' many dangers toils and snares
I have already come
'Tis grace that brought me safe thus far
And grace will lead me home

Verse 5

When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we first begun

Worship Song, #718 "Day By Day"

Verse 1

Day by day and with each passing moment
Strength I find to meet my trials here
Trusting in my Father's wise bestowment
I've no cause for worry or for fear
He whose heart is kind beyond all measure
Gives unto each day what He deems best
Lovingly its part of pain and pleasure
Mingling toil with peace and rest

Verse 2

Ev'ry day the Lord Himself is near me
With a special mercy for each hour
All my cares He fain would bear and cheer me
He whose name is Counselor and Pow'r
The protection of His child and treasure
Is a charge that on Himself He laid
As your days your strength shall be in measure
This the pledge to me He made

Verse 3

Help me then in ev'ry tribulation
So to trust Your promises O Lord
That I lose not faith's sweet consolation
Offered me within Your holy Word
Help me Lord when toil and trouble meeting
E'er to take as from a Father's hand
One by one the days the moments fleeting
Till I reach the Promised Land

Benediction

August Benevolence - Riverview Estates

Riverview Estates was the vision of Miss Mary Leverich and became a reality on August 17, 1951, when she donated a generous bequest from her estate to establish The Baptist Home in South Jersey. The first building purchased was at the present location, and included the Victorian house, the carriage house and an additional lot for expansion.

On October 1, 1953, the state granted authorization to operate the property as a nursing home. The doors opened for ministry on March 10, 1954, and the dedication ceremony took place on Saturday, October 2, 1954.

We have been providing healing, hospitality, and care to residents of Riverton and surrounding communities for over half a century. Through the Lord’s grace, we still faithfully serve patients in our community every day.

We may not know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future. With the Lord’s help we have come this far, and with the Lord’s help we will have another 50 years of service to the seniors of the South Jersey area.

Volunteer Chaplain Aides

Volunteer Chaplain Aides are needed throughout the Virtualize Health System in Burlington and Camden Counties. There are openings for trained lay visitors every day of the week. Following a training and orientation process, an Aide may donate two to four hours of each week to visit patients by phone, offering them compassion and spiritual comfort. Once Visitation is available again in our hospitals, these same volunteers would be welcome to visit out patients in the hospital after some additional training.

To find out if volunteering is for you, please call or email for an information package with details of the training and the process to become a volunteer at any of our facilities.
