A Different Kind Of Holy Week
Blessed Holy Week, everyone.
There is a much different feel to this most sacred of weeks this year and, unfortunately, our plans have had to be scrapped due to the CoVid–19 pandemic. While we are looking forward to coming together for worship in the same space as soon as possible, that time is not now. Please know, I miss you all and am trying to make the rounds touching base with as many of our community as possible.
Now, for some updates.
Holy Week Services
We are still holding Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services in partnership with Epworth United Methodist and Bethany Lutheran. These have, of course, been moved online. As of right now the Maundy Thursday Service will be pre-recorded and uploaded to our FB page Thursday Evening (it will also appear on our web site). We still aren’t sure if Good Friday will be pre-recorded or a live Zoom meeting. I will let folks know. If it’s live it will begin at 2 PM and end by 3 PM
For Maundy Thursday, Pastor Soper has asked that people who want to participate in Communion at home have some juice and bread available to partake.
Drive by Visits
If you would like to see some Central Baptist folks in person, but from a distance, please follow this link to request a drive by visit. Give the extroverts in our community the gift of social engagement, and be blessed yourself!
Streaming Archive
All of our FB Streams, which includes our “Central Mornings,” the live chats with local leaders and pastors, and our Holy Week services can be accessed through our video archive on our web site.
