Let's Come Together

It's been a difficult time in this country. We have witnessed a political campaign unlike we've ever seen. Friendships have been frayed, Churches split, and Christians absorbed into the malestrom. Posts and articles have been shared in both print and social media declaring for which candidate Jesus' disciples need to vote, and have come to radically different conclusions. It's time for a different type of response.

On Election Day, when the polls close at 8PM, we are inviting Jesus' followers to come and share Communion. We know this is later than many people are comfortable venturing out, but our timing has a purpose. Once the polls close there is no more need for political rallies or agendas, in our state the matter is settled. So we will gather as the dust begins to clear and declare to anyone who will listen, "The Church has one Lord, Jesus Christ. And one purpose, to declare his Good News."

So if you are able, please come and join us for this special gathering. If you are not able, please lift up those who gather in your prayers at that time – and find your own gentle way to image Jesus' Kingdom in this world.
