Announcements

Call to Worship:
Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely,
and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us.
In the name of Jesus, our one Lord and Savior, let us worship God.
—based on Hebrews 12:1, NRSV

Opening Prayer & Lord’s Prayer

Passing the Peace (Internet Edition)

Old Testament reading - Zech 3:1-5

Prayer Time

New Testament reading - Jude

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Meditation, “Living Clean”

Hymn: “Sometimes by Step”

VERSE 1

Sometimes the night is beautiful
Sometimes the sky was so far away
Sometimes it seemed to stoop
So close you could touch it
But your heart would break

Sometimes the morning
 came too soon
Sometimes the day
could be so hard
There was so much work left to do
But so much you'd already done

CHORUS

Oh God You are my God
And I will ever praise You
Oh God You are my God
And I will ever praise You
And I will seek You in the morning
And I will learn to walk in Your ways
And step by step You'll lead me
And I will follow You all of my days

VERSE 2

Sometimes I think of Abraham
How one star he saw had been lit for me (him)
He was a stranger in this land
And I am that no less than he

And on this (the) road to righteousness
Sometimes the climb can be so steep
I may falter in my steps
And never beyond Your reach

ENDING

And I will follow You all of my days
And I will follow You all of my days
And step by step You'll lead me
And I will follow You all of my days
