Announcements

Call to Worship,

The heavens are telling the glory of God;
and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.

Day to day pours forth speech,
and night to night declares knowledge.

There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard;

yet their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.

The glory of God echoes throughout the world. Let us praise the name of the Lord.

—based on Psalm 19:1-4, NRSV

Worship Song, "Shout To The North"

Verse 1

Men of faith rise up and sing
Of the great and glorious King
You are strong when you feel weak
In your brokenness complete

Chorus

Shout to the north and the south
Sing to the east and the west
Jesus is Savior to all
Lord of heaven and earth

Verse 2

Rise up women of the truth
Stand and sing to broken hearts
Who can know the healing pow'r
Of our awesome King of love

Verse 3

Rise up church with broken wings
Fill this place with songs again
Of our God who reigns on high
By His grace again we'll fly

Bridge

We've been through fire
We've been through rain
We've been refined
By the pow'r of His name
We've fallen deeper
In love with You
You've burned
The truth on our lips

Ending

Lord of heaven and earth
Lord of heaven and earth
Lord of heaven and earth

Worship Song, #724 "Lead On, O King Eternal"

Verse 1

Lead on O King eternal the day of march has come
Henceforth in fields of conquest
Your tents will be our home
Through days of preparation
Your grace has made us strong
And now O King eternal
We lift our battle song

Verse 2

Lead on O King eternal
Till sin’s fierce war shall cease
And holiness shall whisper
The sweet amen of peace
For not with swords’ loud clashing
Or roll of stirring drums
With deeds of love and mercy
The heavenly kingdom comes

Verse 3

Lead on O King eternal
We follow not with fears
For gladness breaks like morning
Where’er your face appears
Your cross is lifted o’er us
We journey in its light
The crown awaits the conquest
Lead on O God of might

Code Blue Shelter Overnight Staffing

On behalf of Christian Caring Center:

We want to request your assistance regarding the Code Blue Shelters. Like most shelters across the state, we are experiencing a severe shortage of overnight staff. There are two overnight staff on each shift. The staff will oversee up to 14 adult male and female guests when the County declares Code Blue. A Code Blue is announced when the temperature drops to 32 degrees or colder. We serve guests a prepared dinner, supervise them as they watch movies, put together puzzles, or read. You may assist them as needed with simple tasks. There are COVID protocols in place that need to be also followed. Please see the attached job description for more details. This would be a paid internship of $50/ night. If interested, please email, and request an application at christiancaringcenter@yahoo.com

Thank you for your consideration,

Madelyn Sutton
