Call to Worship

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me;
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.”

—Matthew 11:28-29, NIV

Hymn, “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing“

Verse 1

Come Thou fount of ev'ry blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace
Streams of mercy never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet
Sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the mount I'm fixed upon it
Mount of Thy redeeming love

Verse 2

Here I raise my Ebenezer
Hither by Thy help I'm come
And I hope by Thy good pleasure
Safely to arrive at home
Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wand'ring from the fold of God
He to rescue me from danger
Interposed His precious blood

Verse 3

O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I'm constrained to be
Let Thy grace Lord like a fetter
Bind my wand'ring heart to Thee
Prone to wander Lord I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here's my heart Lord take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above

The mission focus for August is Riverview Estates, “a South Jersey faith-based assisted living and skilled nursing care community based in Riverton, NJ”. COVID-19 is particularly serious for the elderly, such as the residents at Riverview. Maintaining the health and safety of the residents and staff is challenging and requires additional resources and creativity to balance the needs of the residents while keeping this highly contagious virus away.

Riverview Estates opened in 1954 and has been providing skilled nursing, assisted living, and rehabilitation services for close to 70 years. The organization has adapted to many changes over these years and is now called upon to adapt to this novel coronavirus. Your support is greatly appreciated.
