And heav'n and nature sing
And heav'n and heav'n and nature sing

Joy to the earth the Savior reigns
Let men their songs employ
While fields and floods
Rocks hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat the sounding joy

No more let sins and sorrows grow
Nor thorns infest the ground
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found
Far as the curse is found
Far as far as the curse is found

He rules the world with truth and grace
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
And wonders of His love

Prayer Time

Gospel Reading, Luke 2:21-38

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Meditation, “Nativity”

Hymn, “I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day”

Verse 1

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth goodwill to men

Verse 2

I thought how as the day had come
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along th'unbroken song
Of peace on earth goodwill to men

Verse 3

And in despair I bowed my head
There is no peace on earth I said
For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth goodwill to men

Verse 4

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep
God is not dead nor doth He sleep
The wrong shall fail the right prevail
With peace on earth goodwill to men

Verse 5

Till ringing singing on its way
The world revolved from night to day
A voice a chime a chant sublime
Of peace on earth goodwill to men

Benediction

June Benevolence: One Great Hour Of Sharing

Our mission focus for June is the American Baptist Church One Great Hour of Sharing. Funds collected this year will be used to provide COVID relief in the US and Puerto Rico and internationally in the communities served by International Ministries.

“Every $25 will help to:

  • Assist churches that are experiencing their own financial hardship and lack of resources to seek alternate ways to gather and attend to the needs of their congregations and communities;

  • Support community ministries attempting to provide food and shelter, while adhering to social distancing guidelines;

  • Close the digital divide that has become more apparent in low-income households as children are unable to complete lessons, and worshipers are disconnected from fellowship because of lack of access to virtual church services;

  • Combat the racial hostility that has increased exponentially toward our Asian brothers and sisters; and

  • Aid those affected by the virus—both those who continue to struggle without necessary medical care and those medical professionals who risk their lives daily.”
