Call to Worship - based on Isaiah 60
Arise, shine, for your light has come! The glory of the Lord has risen upon us. Let us praise the Lord together. The sun shall no longer be our light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on us, for the Lord will be our light, and our God will be our glory. The Lord will be our everlasting light, and our days of sorrow will end. Come, let us sing to our light and salvation!

January Benevolence: Mission to Chinese Seamen
“The ocean depths raise their voice, O LORD; they raise their voice and roar. The LORD rules supreme in heaven, greater than the roar of the ocean, more powerful than the waves of the sea.” (Psalm 93:3-4)
The Mission to Chinese Seamen reaches out to seafarers from many nations right here at the port of Philadelphia. Merchant Seamen typically spend ten months or more each year on board ship and only two months in their home country with family and friends. The life of a seafarer is often lonely, monotonous and many times dangerous. Seamen are truly a forgotten people group because they are an international population constantly on the move.
A Message from the Allen Family - The Allen Family extends their deepest thanks and gratitude for both the church's generous Christmas gift and all the support they feel throughout the year. May Jesus continue to do great things through Central in 2016!
Day of Service - Volunteers and baked goods are needed Monday, January 18, 2016, 10am - 3 pm at Sam's Club, Cinnaminson, NJ (dress warmly). Clergy and members of the Houses of Worship will be raising awareness for the homelessness in our community and offering finger desserts to everyone who supports the homeless cause. Please consider baking cookies, brownies, or cupcakes to be distributed to donors on MLK Day. Also ask for volunteers to stand by the doors of Sam's Club between the hours of 10am-3pm.
