August Benevolence: Riverview Estates This month (and all year long) we encourage you to donate much needed hygiene items to Riverview. All donations can be placed in the bin marked “Riverview” in the Memorial Hall.

Garden Fresh! - See something in the garden that would be perfect on your dinner table? Pick it! Take some fresh veggies home today, tomorrow, or whenever they’re ripe! (and if you make something super delicious, feel free to post it to the CBC Facebook page for everyone to share!!)
Cakes Needed - The Bread of Life food pantry will celebrate its 6th anniversary on Pantry Day August 15. Client families will be given cake and ice cream in addition to the usual food. We have been asked to provide 8 cakes for the occasion. Cakes can be dropped off at the pantry Friday night, 7-8 pm or before Pantry start time of 10 am on Saturday. See Amanda.
Church Picnic - Saturday August 29, 4pm. Bring the whole family for swimming, games, and food. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share.
Christmas in August? - Come one, come all! Join our Christmas celebration on Sunday August 23 2015 at 7pm. We will end the summer season with cool thoughts, dessert, and Christmas fun, along with preparing the first round of shoe box presents for Operation Christmas Child. Bring items to pack in the shoe boxes appropriate to send overseas (many stores have begun Back to School sales). Wanted item lists will be available soon. See Cathi for more information.
