Worship Bulletin - June 1, 2014
Christ is risen! The season of Easter marks the time between Jesus’ resurrection and his ascension – during which the disciples came to understand the purpose of Jesus’ ministry and his identity. Join with us to celebrate the wonders of Christ’s resurrection, and what it means for the resurrection life of the Church!

Passing the Peace
Call to Worship - based on John 1:1, 4-5, NRSV
Grace and peace from Jesus Christ, our Lord. And also with you. Sisters and brothers in Christ, on this most holy day, when our Savior, Jesus Christ, passed from death to life, we gather with the church throughout the world in vigil and prayer. This is the Passover of Jesus Christ: Through light and the Word, through water and the bread and wine, we recall Christ’s death and resurrection, we share Christ’s triumph over sin and death, and with invincible hope we await Christ’s coming again. Hear the Word of God: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. In him was life, and the life was the light of all people. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
