MAY BENEVOLENCE: Blood:Water Mission - In an increasingly global society, the concept of neighbor is changing. As Christians we are called to know our neighbors, love them, and act in a way that glorifies God. The idea of loving and caring for your neighbor comes up nearly a dozen times in the Bible, and the point is driven home with the story of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10.
KNOW: It is said "to know is to love." To love our neighbor, we must know our neighbor and his/her afflictions. We must stop and help our neighbor in need, even when it is an inconvenience to us. God calls us to be the Good Samaritan.
LOVE: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. The second is this. 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no greater commandment greater than these". Mark 12:30-31 (ESV) "And the King will answer them, 'truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did to me."Matthew 25:40 (ESV)
ACT: "Dear children, let's not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our Actions". 1 John 3:18 (NIV)
We invite you to involve your church to KNOW, LOVE, and ACT. We want you to become educated on the world's crises and act in accordance to the gospels. http://www.bloodwatermission.com/
