Call to Worship – based on Psalm 19:1-4, NRSV
The heavens are telling the glory of God;
and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard;
yet their voice goes out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
The glory of God echoes throughout the world.
Let us praise the name of the Lord.

Gospel Reading – Luke 10:38-42 (NIV)
38As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
41“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Mission to Chinese Seamen – The Mission to Chinese Seamen is a Christian Evangelical Mission reaching out to Far East Seamen in the port of Philadelphia. Merchant Seamen typically spend ten months or more each year on board ship and only two months in their home country with family and friends. The life of a seafarer is often lonely, monotonous and many times dangerous. Seamen are truly a forgotten people group because they are an international population constantly on the move.
2015 Offering Envelopes are available in Memorial Hall. If you wish to receive Offering Envelopes, please see Beth or Sandi after service.
